Pettit was a resident of Naples for the past two years coming from Shagrin Falls, Ohio and had been a winter resident for the past ten years. He was born in Illinois on March 10, 1913, a son of Harvey B. and Martha Marvin Pettit. He was a retired Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Masonic Bodies and Shrine Club in Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Lanore Kaestle Pettit of Naples, Florida; a son, H.
Blair Pettit of Troy Township, Ohio; a daughter, Barbara Miner grin Falls, Ohio; two brothers; one sister; five grandchildren. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Naples on the Gulf, the American Legion, the Association of the United States Army, the Retired Officers Associations, the National Association of Atomic Veterans and the Milwaukee Press Club. He is survived by his wife, Gerda Duvall; one son, Andrew R.
