Yesterday I participated in the World Leaders Forum. My congratulations for Universal Postal Union's excellent organization, I thank them for having me. I also want to thank Christine Holgate, CEO of Australia Post, for sharing her views. It was good to hear that her point of view about the COVID-19 issues and opportunities is very similar. During the keynote I dealt with the current challenges for the #postal and #parcels business. One of these challenges concerns cross-border shipping of mail and parcels due to a lack of airline capacity. We all depend on the #airline industry for the majority of the shipping of our cross-border mail and parcels. It is really important to reflect on the various possibilities we have and on how the fast-changing airline environment is a major risk for the postal global #supplychain. We see solutions in strong #collaborations between the postal industry and the airline industry. Did you participate in the forum or are you interested in this topic? Feel free to let me know what your thoughts are on this matter. I gladly share my insights with you. #shipping #mail #post

Peter Somers thanks great contribution to the event, Peter! In my humble opinion, the new tourism patterns and landscape should be fully taken into account in order to better cope with this lack of flight capacity in the international postal supply chain. Flights are available where tourists and business travelers travel to so let’s make sure we can predict shoppers’ demand much better than today, move the goods that are predicted to be on high demand in advance to these global tourism and business events hubs, secure agile transportation modes between those touristic hubs and final destinations, and match import and export predictions to ensure maximal utilization of inbound and outbound flights capacities.

Exciting news from TotalEnergies Angola and Bob Eco Angola! The very first electric motorbike refueling station or battery swapping station was opened in Luanda, marking a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future for transportation in the country. During the inauguration event Claire Dutertre Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Angola, highlighted the company's commitment to establishing more electric motorbike refueling stations across Angola annually. This effort not only aligns with sustainable development goals but also aims to drive job creation and support youth entrepreneurship.Notably, this new facility offers convenient battery exchanges from 7 am to 7 pm, with a quick two-hour charging time. Bob Eco Angola Commercial Director, Antonio Quilanda, shared that the company's unique approach allows young individuals and corporations to access electric motorcycles without upfront costs. Bob Eco's commitment to providing maintenance services and fostering youth employment through this initiative demonstrates their dedication to creating a brighter and greener future for Angola. #electricmotorbikes #swappingstations #sustainability #angola
