How to Use the Magic Mushroom Grow Kit
Introduction:
Growing magic mushrooms is simple with the provided step-by-step guide. Here’s a quick overview:
Step 1: Unboxing Your Grow Kit
Take the Fresh Mushrooms box out of the cardboard box. Don’t throw away the cardboard box yet! Remove the lid from the plastic container, rinse it under water, and keep it for future use. You can reuse the kit multiple times. Do not pour water into the kit for your first harvest!
Step 2: Setting up the Plastic Growing Bag
Place the plastic growing bag on a flat surface, slide the grow kit inside, and fold the bag under the kit. Make sure the small holes are just above the kit’s box and facing upward. Put the bag (with the kit) into the original cardboard box to block light from the sides.
Step 3: Placement and Lighting Conditions
Put the setup in a well-lit room with a temperature between 18°C-28°C (64°F-82°F). Avoid direct sunlight. While mushrooms grow in this temperature range, keeping it around 20-23°C (68°F-73°F) is best for good results. If the room is cooler, a heating mat can help. Mushrooms don’t need direct sunlight; indirect daylight is enough.
Step 4: Monitoring Growth and Adjustment
When the first caps appear, reposition the growing bag and stand it upright. There’s no need to moisten the kit. The first mushrooms should be visible within 1-3 weeks. Once they appear, keep the bag slightly open to let excess moisture evaporate. Too much moisture can be harmful.
Step 5: Harvesting
About a week after the first caps appear, it’s time to harvest. Gently pull the mushrooms with clean hands using a light twisting motion. Harvest before the mushrooms release their spores.
Subsequent Harvests:
This grow kit allows for multiple mushroom harvests. After the first harvest, fill the kit with clean tap water. This process, known as cold-shock, ensures there’s enough moisture for new mushroom growth.
Place the kit’s lid back on and let it rest for 12 hours. Open a corner of the lid to let excess water drain. Then, follow the instructions from Step 1 again. This process can be repeated several times.

Outside the EU: Magic mushroom grow kits are legal in most countries because, at the time of customs inspection, the kits do not yet contain psilocybin; it’s only after the mushrooms have grown that they become psychoactive. This allows us to ship them to non-EU countries like the UK.
